英国の図書館情報専門家協会（CILIP）と、毎年4月に行われている図書館・情報業界の総合展“Library + information Show”が、2008年の“Libraries Change Lives Award”の大賞受賞館を発表しました。大賞を受賞したのは、学習に障害を有する人向けのサービスを、支援団体“Care Trust”とパートナーシップを結んで提供したブラッドフォード中央図書館です。同館と、最終選考に残った他の2館の取り組みを紹介したビデオ動画が、YouTubeで公開されています。
