2019年9月23日、北米の研究図書館センター（Center for Research Libraries: CRL）は、East View Information Servicesとの協力プロジェクトの成果として、中国の清代末期から中華民国期に刊行された新聞のデジタルコレクション“Late Qing and Republican-Era Chinese Newspapers”をオープンアクセスで公開したことを発表しました。公開はEast View社が推進する新聞のデジタルアーカイブ“Global Press Archive”上で行われています。
2019年9月24日付けのEast View社によるプレスリリースでは、現時点で13のタイトルからなる17万5,000ページ超のコンテンツが含まれていること、最終的には2019年末までに数百タイトル、約50万ページの規模となる予定であることを紹介しています。
