米国のニューヨーク大学芸術・科学大学院（New York University’s Graduate School of Arts and Science）とロングアイランド大学の図書館情報学課程は、2006年の秋から、両方の学位を取得できる協同が食いプログラムを開始すると発表しました。
このプログラムは、豊富な主題知識と図書館情報学の知識の両方を習得した大学図書館員の必要性が高まっていることを受けて創設されるもので、”Scholar-Librarians”という通称がついているそうです。
