2017年6月15日、オーストラリア連邦議会において、「1968年著作権法」の改正法案（Disability Access and Other Measures）が可決・成立しました。
・視覚、聴覚、知的障害者の著作物へのアクセス促進（2015年12月に批准した「マラケシュ条約」への対応）
・教育機関、図書館、アーカイブズ機関の著作権に関する条項の簡素化
・教育機関によるデジタル教育環境下で著作物の利用促進
・公表された著作物、未公表の著作物、国家著作物への、新しい著作権保護期間の設定
といった内容が盛り込まれています。
