2014年10月14日、OCLC Researchが、図書館のコレクションや選書の将来をテーマにした記事を集めたプレプリント版の“Collection Directions: The Evolution of Library Collections and Collecting”を公開しました。
このレポートでは、ネットワーク環境下における選書行動の変化を幅広い観点で取り上げ、さまざまなモデルに基づく将来的な方向性を示唆するものとのことです。紙媒体のコレクションの変化するダイナミクス、研究と教育のより緊密な連携、学術コミュニケーションのトレンド等を扱っているとのことです。
“portal: Libraries and the Academy”Volume 14, Number 3, July 2014 (pages 393-423)として出版されたものを再録したものとのことです。
