2014年6月27日、Dr. Rüdiger Wischenbart Content and Consulting等が2007年から実施している国際出版社ランキング(“The Global Ranking of the Publishing Industry”)の2014年版が公開されました。
この調査は出版事業による2013年の収益が1億5千万ユーロもしくは2億ドルを超えている出版社を対象に行われているものです。2013年の収益に基づくランキングは、2012年から1位～7位までの順位に変化はなく、1位は米ピアソン（Pearson）で年間収益は56億5,500万ユーロ、2位はエルゼビア（Read Elsevier）で年間収益は44億1,700万ユーロ、3位はトムソン・ロイター（ThomsonReuters）で年間収益40億1,500万ユーロでした。
