2025年10月29日、Sage社が、図書館司書、編集者等の公共の利益のために活動する“public-good curators”の重要性に焦点を当てたガイドを公開したと発表しました。
ガイドでは、“public-good curators”を「情報の出所や評価方法について透明性を保つことにコミットしている個人」と定義し、信頼できる答えに至る道筋を守りつつ、適切な問いかけを促すことで、複雑な情報環境を社会が上手く乗り越える手助けをしているとしています。研究専門家、編集者、研究公正責任者、図書館司書、専門ジャーナリスト等が“public-good curators”に該当するとされています。
ガイドでは、“public-good curators”の役割の重要性が訴えられているほか、その活動を支える基本的な原則等が提示されています。
