2025年10月23日、国際図書館連盟（IFLA）が、2027年の世界図書館情報会議（WLIC）・IFLA年次大会を英国のロンドンで開催すると発表しました。
2027年は、IFLA創設100周年を迎える記念すべき年であると同時に、英国図書館情報専門家協会（CILIP）の創設150周年にも当たるとされます。
