2013年10月10日、OCLCは、WorldCatとWorldCat knowledge baseにより多くの電子コンテンツを追加することについて国際的なコンテンツプロバイダと合意しました。これにより、OCLC WorldShare Metadata Serviceを利用する図書館にとっては、電子コンテンツへのアクセスが容易になり、コンテンツの管理もシンプルになるとのことです。
コンテンツの追加を予定しているプロバイダは、UAEのAl Manhal、米国のConfidential Concepts, Inc、Ecological Society of America (ESA)、Internet Scientific Publications (ISPUB)、New York University Press、英国のHenry Stewart Talks Ltd、ブラジルのSciELO、ドイツのThe ciando GmbHなどとのことです。契約自体は2013年6月に行われており、今後数ヶ月間でコンテンツの追加が行われる予定とのことです。
