2025年2月6日、英国の図書館支援を行う慈善団体Libraries Connectedが、公共図書館における電子書籍貸出しに関するプロジェクトのレポート及び関連調査の結果を発表しました。
Libraries Connectedは2024年に、出版社及び図書館と協力して、一部の電子書籍タイトルを対象に、より柔軟なライセンスを試験的に導入するプロジェクトを実施するとともに、コンサルティング会社のIndependent Mindに委託して、図書館利用者の電子書籍の購入や貸出しの習慣に関する調査を行いました。いずれもアーツ・カウンシル・イングランド（Arts Council England）の助成によるものです。
プロジェクトのレポート及びIndependent Mindによる調査の結果は、アーツ・カウンシル・イングランドのウェブサイトから利用可能です。
