英国のCAPITA社が発行している季刊誌“Panlibus”の22号（2011年秋号）でシェアードサービス（shared services）特集が組まれており、24～25ページでウスターシャー州の“The Hive Project”が紹介されています。同州のウスター市立図書館とウスター大学図書館等の5施設を統合させ、“Worcester Library & History Centre”を建設するというもののようです。プロジェクトのサイトでは、2012年7月の開館予定で、この種の施設は欧州で初、とされています。また、6～7ページには英国のウェストミンスター区、ハマースミス＆フラム区、ケンジントン＆チェルシー王立区の3区にある21図書館でサービスの一部を共同化し、年間100万ポンドのコストダウンに成功したという事例も紹介されています。
