ウガンダ国立図書館が、World Digital Library（WDL）に参加すると報じられています。米国ニューヨークのカーネギー社から6億シリング（約2,700万円）相当、Google社から60億シリング（約2億7,000万円）相当の機材が提供されるとのことです。同館では、2009年にWDLへの参加について米国議会図書館（LC）と合意に至っており、2010年1月には同館のデジタル化センターの設立に向けた作業が開始されていたようです。
