2018年11月12日、カタール国立図書館（QNL）が、フランス外務省文書館（French Diplomatic Archives）と覚書を締結したと発表しました。
今回の連携により、共同研究プロジェクト等を含む連携を促進させるとしています。
カタール国立図書館は、今回の連携は、カタールや湾岸地域の歴史的記録のカタールデジタルライブラリ（Quatar Digital Library）のためのデジタル化プロジェクトの第一歩であるとしています。
