2013年4月15日に起こったボストンマラソン爆発事件から1年を迎えるにあたり、ボストン公共図書館が、展示等のイベントを開催します。
2014年4月7日から5月11日にかけては、“Dear Boston: Messages from the Marathon Memorial”と題し、爆発事件直後に残されたメッセージやマラソンシューズなどを展示する展示会を開催しています。これらは、ボストン市の公文書館に保存されていたもので、展示会は、公文書館、Boston Art Commission、New England Museum Associationとの協力によって実施されるものとのことです。
4月16日から19日にかけては、“Our Marathon”と題し、ノースイースタン大学のクラウドソースによるデジタルアーカイブ構築に関連するイベントが開催されるとのことです。
このほか、関連企画が複数予定されています。
