2014年2月、DAISYコンソーシアム、米国書籍産業研究グループ（BISG)、 国際電子出版フォーラム（IDPF）は共同で、EPUBリーダーのEPUB適合状況を確認できるウェブサイト“EPUBTest.org”の公開を発表しました。
EPUBTest.orgは、電子書籍のリーディングシステムがEPUB3に適合しているかどうかを確認するためのテストケースを集めたテストスイートを提供しているとのことです。このテストスイートは、もともとはIDPFによって作成されたものとのことです。
また、EPUB3のSupport Gridも公開されています。EPUB3のテストスイートを用いて、機器やアプリケーション、リーディングシステムなどのEPUB3.0の各機能への対応状況をまとめたものとのことです。EPUB3.0の機能毎、あるいは、リーディングシステム毎に対応状況を確認できます。
現在、“Readium Chrome Extension 2.12.4”、“VitalSource Bookshelf Desktop Mac 6.2 ”、“Kobo iOS App 6.2”、“VitalSource Bookshelf IOS 2.5”などが比較的適合率の高いリーダーのようです。
