米国の美術研究機関であるGetty Research Instituteが、2012年5月31日に、“Getty Research Portal”を公開すると発表しています。この“Getty Research Portal”は、デジタル化された美学・美術史関係テキストのメタデータを集めたゲートウェイサイトとして、世界中の関係機関の資料を調査できるとともに、フリーダウンロード可能なデジタル化資料へのリンクも提供するものとなるようです。Getty Research Instituteは、“Getty Research Portal”が、美術史研究者、キュレーター、学生等にとって、世界のアートライブラリーに足を運ばなくとも、貴重な研究資料を調べることができるとしています。
