2014年10月21日、インドの博物館・美術館の国家的なポータル“Museums of India”が公開されました。インドの主要な博物館・美術館10館のポータルで、デジタルリポジトリも兼ねているとのことです。インド先端電算技術開発センター（Centre for Development of Advanced Computing：C-DAC）がインド文化省が承認を得て開発し、提供するポータルで、構築には、Human-Centred Design & Computing Groupが開発したバーチャル博物館ソフトウェア“JATAN”が使用されているとのことです。
それぞれの館から、また、絵画や彫刻等の種類、紙やテラコッタ等の材質、芸術家、水彩や彫刻等の技術、中央アジアのアンティーク等のコレクションからコンテンツを検索することができます。
対象となっているのは、“National Museum, New Delhi”、“Indian Museum, Kolkata”、“Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata”、“National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi”、“National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai”、“National Gallery of Modern Art, Bengaluru”、“Allahabad Museum”、“Salar Jung Museum, Hyderabad”、“Nagarjunakonda Museum”、“Goa Museum”の10館です。
