2020年11月3日、国際図書館連盟（IFLA）の図書館建物および設備分科会 (Library Buildings and Equipments)が、図書館建築の紹介を行うInstagramアカウントに関する記事を掲載しました。

同分科会による、規模や知名度によらず、世界各国のあらゆる図書館の建物を紹介し、図書館建築や革新的な技術に関する事例共有を行うイニシアチブの活動の一環として作成されたアカウントです。

2020年9月末に最初の投稿として、“2019 IFLA/Systematic Public Library of the Year”に選ばれたフィンランドのヘルシンキ中央図書館（Oodi）が載せられました。
