米国オライリー社はCMP有限責任会社と共同で、無断で登録商標である"Web 2.0"を冠したイベントの開催を計画したとして、アイルランドの民間非営利組織"IT@Cork [1]"に警告文を送付したと、自社のブログで公表しましたが、翌日になって間違いであったとの記事を、再び自社のブログで公表しました。いずれも同社の社長であるティム・オライリー氏の休暇中に起こった出来事とのことです。
