2017年11月10日、米国図書館協会（ALA）傘下の米国学校図書館員協会（AASL）が、新しい学校図書館基準“National School Library Standards for Learners, School Librarians, and School Libraries” を刊行しました。

これまで“AASL Standards for the 21st-Century Learner”、“Standards in Action”、“Empowering Learners”の3つに分かれていた基準・ガイドラインを統合・改訂し、1冊のテキストとしたものです。

あわせて、今回の基準の、管理者・保護者へのアドヴォカシーや教員との連携を支援するためのツールとして“AASL Standards Framework for Learners pamphlet”も刊行されています。
