米国専門図書館協会（SLA）が、閉鎖・縮小の危機にある環境保護局（EPA）図書館ネットワークの問題についてEPAと対話を続けているとのプレスリリースを、5月9日付け出しています。
EPAのMike Flynn(Director, Office of Information Analysis and Access Office of Environmental Information）が、これ以上の図書館の閉鎖は“凍結されている”と述べているとし、またあわせて同氏からSLAに宛てて送られた書簡も公開されています。
