2022年8月21日、国際図書館連盟（IFLA）が、“Library Map of the World”が公開5周年を迎えたことを発表しました。
信頼できる世界の図書館に関する統計の作成を目指して構築した“Library Map of the World”は、2017年8月21日に、75カ国の図書館データと、図書館による国連のSDGsへの取組のいくつかの事例でスタートしました。
現在“Library Map of the World”では、国レベルの図書館統計のデータ、国別プロファイル、SDGsへの取組事例の3つのコンテンツを提供しており、135の国と地域の図書館データ、28の完全な国別プロファイル、そして56の図書館によるSDGsへの取組事例を掲載しているとあります。
