2019年米国図書館協会(ALA)年次大会で地域づくりに貢献する日本の公共図書館活動に関するセッションが開催

米国・ワシントンD.C.で2019年6月20日から25日まで開催される2019年米国図書館協会(ALA)年次大会(ALA 2019 Annual Conference and Exhibition)において、6月22日、“Japan Libraries: Transforming Libraries with Innovative Ideas – How Japanese Public Librarians Engage in Building Better Communities –”(「革新的なアイディアで図書館を変革する:よりよい地域づくりに貢献する日本の公共図書館活動」)と題したセッションが開かれます。

4人の発表者から英語のプレゼンテーションが行われます。題目と発表者は以下の通りです。

1. “How Innovation has transformed Japanese public libraries” Shunsaku Tamura, Professor Emeritus, Keio University

2. “Small Japanese town library becomes a community hub connecting people in farmland” Miki Tezuka, Chief Librarian, Shiwa-cho (Town) Library, Iwate Prefecture

3. “Library makes the dementia-friendly community where everyone lives happily” Hiroyo Matsuda, Chief Librarian of Information Consulting Service Unit, Tottori Prefectural (State) Library

4. “Fostering current and future business leaders for the Hiroshima city” Shinobu Doi, Librarian, Acting Head of Business Service, Hiroshima City Central Library
