2016年8月8日から8月12日まで、公益のためにデジタルコンテンツを保存することの重要性を啓発する“Born Digital 2016: collecting for the future”を実施することを、オーストラリア及びニュージーランドの国立図書館及び州立図書館の連合であるNSLA(National and State Libraries Australia)が発表しています。
NSLAのDigital Preservationプロジェクトが主催するもので、オーストラリア国立図書館（NLA）やニュージーランド国立図書館（NLNZ）をはじめ、NSLAの各図書館でイベントが開催されます。
デジタルコンテンツの収集保存に関する疑問について、専門家にオンラインでインタビューし、期間中に毎日公開する、といった取組も行われるようです。
