大学図書館における、利用者要求にもとづくコレクション構築(PDA/DDA)の過去、現在、未来(記事紹介)

大学・研究図書館協会(ACRL)の刊行する“College and Research Libraries (C&RL)”のVol.76, no.2に、Edward A. Goedeken氏、Karen Lawson氏による“The Past, Present, and Future of Demand-Driven Acquisitions in Academic Libraries”と題する記事が公開されました。記事では、利用者からのリクエストにもとづいた購入方法(Patron-Driven Acqusitions:PDA、Demand-Driven Acquisitons)の進展を背景とし、PDA/DDAによる選書と図書館員による選書、具体的には(1)ebrary PDA、(2)電子書籍コレクションであるAcademic Complete、(3)アイオワ大学のサブジェクトライブラリアンがYPBのアプルーバルプランを利用して行った選書について、比較検討したものとのことです。
