米国で、2012年9月19日から23日にかけて開催された白人以外の図書館員のカンファレンス“2012 Joint Conference of Librarians of Color ”(JCLC)がミズーリ州カンザスシティで開催されましたが、これについての記事が掲載されています。このカンファレンスはthe American Indian Library Association (AILA)、the Asian/Pacific American Librarians Association (APALA)、the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA)、the Chinese American Librarians Association (CALA)、the National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish Speaking (REFORMA)の共催によるものであり、この5団体が集まってカンファレンスを開催するのは2006年以来2度目であるとのことです。会場には、800人の図書館員が集まったとのことです。
