英国図書館（BL）理事会が、同館次期館長に英国放送協会（BBC）のキーティング（Roly Keating）氏を指名しました。キーティング氏は、12年間館長職を務めたブリンドリー（Dame Lynne Brindley）現館長が2012年6月末で退任するのを受け、9月12日に着任予定です。1961年生まれのキーティング氏は、1983年にオックスフォード大学を卒業してBBCに就職、現在はアーカイブ部門のトップ（Director of Archive Content）を務め、BBC iPlayerなどのオンラインサービスを率いているとのことです。
