2012年3月20日に、米国コロラド州のデンバー公共図書館（Denver Public Library）が、地域住民からデジタル化した写真資料等をアップロードしてもらい地域のデジタルアーカイブを作成する“Creating Your Communities”というプロジェクトサイトを公開しました。“Creating Your Communities”には、同館のデジタルアーカイブから約90万点の資料が登載されており、これに地域住民が自分の写真やコロラド州の歴史に関連した資料等をアップロードするようです。
