2011年の「全米図書館週間」（National Library Week）は、4月10日から16日までの1週間になるようです。全米図書館週間は、米国図書館協会（ALA）の支援の下で毎年定められているもので、2011年は“Create your own story”をテーマにした活動やイベントが各地で行われる予定とのことです。また、ALAでは、全米図書館週間を推進する「ストーリー」を募集し、ランダムに選んだ1つに100ドルを進呈するキャンペーンも行うとのことです。
