2010年12月29日に、英国キュー王立植物園と米国のミズーリ植物園が、125万件の植物名を収めたデータベース“The Plant List”を公開しました。このデータベースを作成した目的は、既に100年が経過した植物分類上の混乱を解消することにあるとのことです。
