米国の国立公文書館（NARA）の2006年度予算が先頃可決し、前年度比2,000万ドル増の3億3814万ドル（約405億円）と発表されました。
　主な内訳は、運営費（operating expenses）約2億8000万ドル、電子記録のアーカイブ（ERA）事業に約3,800万ドル、国立歴史的出版物・記録委員会（NHPRC）の事業に約750万ドル、などです。ERA事業費のうち2,200万ドルは、連邦政府の電子記録を保存・利用するためのシステムづくりのために充てられるそうです。
