15世紀から17世紀に英国ほかで刊行された資料をデジタル化した全文データベース“Early English Books Online（EEBO）”と、18世紀に英国で刊行された資料をデジタル化した全文データベース“Eighteenth Century Collections Online（ECCO）”の両方を契約している機関を対象に、一方を検索した際に他方のデータも表示・参照できるようにする“cross-search”を、2008年から開始すると、各々の提供元であるProQuest社、Gale社が発表しています。
