2015年3月12日、コミュニティ・地方自治省（Department for Communities and Local Government: DCLG）とイングランド芸術評議会（Arts Council England：ACE）が、英国の図書館を小規模ビジネスや起業のハブにする取組みを支援するため、企業支援図書館に、65万ポンドの資金提供を行うと発表しています。
この資金は、エクセター中央図書館やノーサンプトンシャーの図書館で、地域の起業家を支援するためのビジネス・知財センター（Business & IP Centre）のサービスの試行などに提供されるとのことです。これにより、英国図書館のビジネス・知財センターのネットワークの強化につながるとのことです。
