2014年8月21日、米国エネルギー省がマンハッタン計画の歴史資料”The Manhattan District History”をオンライン公開しました。
原著は1944年に、マンハッタン計画の責任者レズリー・グローヴス将軍の指示の下、マンハッタン計画において何が、どのように、いつ、どこで行われたかを、できるだけ平易な言葉で記述することを目的に編纂が開始されたもので、全36巻の大部な資料です。オンライン版ではこの36巻を、テーマごとに8部に再編集しています。
