米国議会図書館（LC）は、米国大学研究図書館協会（ACRL）と共同で静止画像についての目録のガイドラインを改訂し、“Descriptive Cataloging of Rare Materials (Graphics)”としてオンラインで公開したと2014年1月9日に発表しました。
DCRM（G）は、写真や印刷物、ボーンデジタルの画像、ポスターなどあらゆる種類の静止画像を対象としているとのことです。DCRM（G）は、LCによって1982年に刊行されたElisabeth Betz Parker氏による”Graphic Materials: Rules for Describing Original Items and Historical Collections”を継承するものとのことです。ACRLの“Bibliographic Standards Committee of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section”による、“Descriptive Cataloging of Rare Materials”シリーズの一つとして刊行されています。
