2012年7月6日、国際博物館会議（International Council of Museums：ICOM）が、“ICOMMUNITY”というICOM参加メンバーを対象にした、交流用ウェブプラットフォームを開設したと発表しました。ICOMは、このプラットフォームを通じて、参加機関間で情報共有等を行ってほしいとしています。
