2011年12月15日に、米国のミシガン大学図書館出版局MPublishingと人文系専門書をオープンアクセスで提供するOpen Humanities Press（OHP）が、6冊の専門書をオープンアクセスで刊行したようです。図書は、批判理論や大陸哲学、カルチュラル・スタディーズに関するもので、各タイトルともフルテキストのHTMLで提供されているようです。ミシガン大学図書館出版局のShana Kimball氏は図書の刊行について、OHPの偉大な成果であり、「学界と図書館の協同による新たな出版モデルが、アクセス問題に対する一つの解決策になりうるものであることを示す有力な証拠である」とコメントしているようです。なお、刊行された図書は以下のとおりです。
