2011年11月18日、英国の研究情報ネットワーク（RIN）が、英国図書館（BL）と共に行った研究の報告書“Information handling in collaborative research: an exploration of five case studies”を公表しました。これは、高等教育機関と企業・公的セクターなどとの共同研究プロジェクトにおいて、研究者がどのように情報を利用しているかを調査したもので、Intelligent Care、UK Reactics、PRISMA、Structural Genomics Consortium、Locating Communications Heritageの5プロジェクトのケーススタディが行われているようです。報告書には、研究パートナーのタイプが情報行動やニーズにもたらす違いの比較や、より効率的な情報利用を妨げるものの特定とそれへの対処法なども盛り込まれているそうです。
