ローリング・ストーンズのギタリストのキース・リチャーズ氏が2010年10月にニューヨーク公共図書館（NYPL）でトークイベントを行った際、控え室となっていたCullman Centerの部屋で、タバコを吸うために窓を開け、灰皿代わりに蘭の花の受け皿を使ったとのことです。窓から入ってきた冷風などにより、蘭の花はダメになってしまったとのことです。リチャーズ氏はその受け皿にサインをしたとのことで、写真が公開されています。
